How to choose the right surveillance package for your home?

It is pretty easy, let's just go through few steps that will help determine on which Home Surveillance System Package is the most suitable for your needs.
Most of the homeowners are mostly concerned about the outside of their house. They want to have cameras to see driveway, backyard, front, garage, pool etc. In this case choice of home CCTV system is pretty easy. Any package in here containing Outdoor/Indoor or Outdoor Cameras will work. Next important factor is a number of cameras needed for sufficient surveillance around the hose. It is amazing how in past few years home surveillance systems had grown. Right now 4 Camera Surveillance Package is good only if you live in town home, duplex, row home etc. For single family house we recommend using at least 8 Camera System. It may seem like too much at the first place, but usually it is exactly what is needed to cover every entrance and every corner. If you think that 8 Camera System may be too much, we recommend starting with 4 Camera System, but please make sure to upgrade DVR Unit to 8ch. Just in case. In most cases this decision will pay off in the future. So make a good count, remember that Security Cameras don't see through the wall, around corners, trees and average field of view is about 90 degrees horizontally for cameras mounted 9-10ft high.
Once you know how many cameras you need, it's time to decide on the type or model. We do recommend using turret (eyeball) type cameras for home surveillance. They are simple to mount, aim, can be mounted on the wall as well as on the ceiling, are not very offensive or visible, since they don't stick out and all of them have infrared night vision which is usually a big help in home surveillance. In some cases you need the camera to stick out or you actually want them to be more visible and act as a deterrent. In this case use bullet type CCTV Cameras. But remember, bullet cameras really work only when mounted on the wall.
For Home Surveillance Systems we offer Cameras with Vari-Focal or Fixed Lens. Fixed Lens is not-adjustable. Systems with those cameras are less expensive and can be used for short range surveillance (up to 50ft) with Cameras mounted at low level (up to 10ft). So those systems are perfect for ranch house, split level home or any other 1 story house. If you live in colonial style home, you probably will mount your cameras under the soffit. It is most common choice since you can ran the cables through the attic which usually is open. Since cameras are pretty high, you would want to use Security Cameras with Vari-Focal Lens. With those Cameras you can manually adjust zoom. So if the cameras is high you can zoom in to get more detailed view. It is a little extra work and you may need another person to view camera while you are adjusting zoom and focus. But this feature is way worth extra effort. Also Home Surveillance Systems with Vari-Focal Lens have stronger Infrared so Cameras can see farther in the darkness. Another great feature when Cameras are mounted high up.
For indoor home surveillance, you can use same turret type cameras. We do recommend short range camera with fixed lens, unless you have really high ceilings. Choosing Digital Video Recorder for Home Surveillance is the easiest part. We did it for you. All our Complete Home Surveillance Systems come with a DVR that includes all the important features and much more. You can connect DVR to any Hi-Def TV with VGA Input or any standard Computer Monitor. DVR records on motion or on weekly schedule. It is accessible from any computer in your home or from remote location. You can also use tablet or smartphone to access your Home Surveillance System and view your Cameras. DVR is maintenance free, it records and overwrites oldest data by itself. It is easy too use and the quality is same as on commercial grade surveillance systems.
